Education
Evans earned his undergraduate degree from New York University and graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1983. Evans specializations include corrective foot surgery, sports medicine, and podiatric medicine. A part of an elite group, Evans is board certified in podiatric orthopedics by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Additionally, Evans is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and part of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American Associations of Podiatric Sports Medicine, and the American Association of Sports Medicine.

His extensive knowledge of podiatric care enabled Evans to open his private practice, in New York City. Gary Evans has also pioneered a modification of the Triplane Bunionectomy, a bunion removal procedure that considers three to four bunion planes.
